A San Jose coffee shop landed in hot water recently when police cited three of its servers for public nudity. It seems the shop was saving a little too much on fabric costs for its staff uniforms.

The Quyen Cafe is one of about 20 Vietnamese coffee houses in a three-square-mile area of the city, according to several local reports. At these shops, the display of more skin than is really required to whip up a good latte or cappuccino seems to be part of the general business model.

Police had previously been reluctant to step in despite frequent complaints from wives/girlfriends of male patrons who had suddenly discovered an irresistable fondness for lingering over freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee…
