MARKET RESEARCH FIRM Packaged Facts reports that its recent consumer survey showed the traditional office coffee pot remaining the most prevalent brew source for coffee drinkers at workplaces…but also the one they find the least satisfying. Another 22 percent got their coffee from individual brew systems in the office using coffee pods and K-cups.

The bad news for office coffee suppliers? First, individual brew systems are vulnerable to the bring-your-own mentality as pods and K-cups become more widely available (and cheaper) at office supply and big box stores.

Also, Packaged Facts research shows that more workers get their daily coffee fix before they get to work than during work, which means coffeeshops, drive-thrus and c-stores are grabbing a significant portion of the office coffee market.
