Researchers at the University of British Columbia have discovered that women tend to prefer men who eat meat, reports the British newspaper the Daily Mail. Surveys used by the researchers found that when given generic descriptions of various men, women described those that avoided meat as less masculine (though more “virtuous”) than those whose diets include meat.

Sad news indeed for Sir Paul McCartney, Albert Einstein, Adolph Hitler and all the other famous male vegetarians of history. But at least now we know why Gandhi was celibate…
