It can't be easy being a vegan. There's danger everywhere you turn, as animal biproducts can reside in the most unexpected places. Like tatoos.

What?

That's right. All that hip body art is in most cases produced with a charnel house of ingredients — charred bones in the ink, fat in the carrying agent, sheep enzymes in the care products. That's according to a recent article in The Atlantic magazine.

Of course, there are vegan tatoo artists, mostly in hip big cities like New York and Los Angeles, but they're not easy to find, especially late at night after one too many rounds, which is the time when the idea of getting a tatoo right now becomes particularly irresistable.
