We have struggled for years to get bedtime snacks delivered to patients. These are very important for hypoglycemia prevention. Our nurses are now using the term “snack-u-check” to remind them to take the snack to patients when they do their blood sugar checks, which are done using an Accu-chek blood glucose meter.
