Smoked Gouda Tuna Melt 2004

Yield: 27 servings

43 oz. premium white tuna in pouch
32 oz. cream cheese, softened
32 oz. smoked gouda cheese
54 slices bacon, crisply cooked
27 slices tomato
54 slices bread of choice
as needed butter, softened

  1. Open tuna, drain and flake; set aside. In food processor, blend cream cheese and smoked gouda. Stir tuna and cheese mixture together until well-blended.

  2. Use 4 oz. scoop to divide tuna mixture and spread on bread. Put one slice of tomato and two slices of bacon on tuna mixture and cover with second piece of bread.

  3. Butter outside of bread and grill until golden brown on both sides. Serve with soup or fresh fruit.
