International interest continuesto build in SIAL, the international food exhibition that will take place at the Paris-Nord Exhibition Center on October 22-26, 2006.

With 5,256 exhibitors from 100 different countries, SIAL organizers expect 136,000 visitors, over half of them international (that is up 15% from 2004 show figures, with countries like Japan, China, Argentina and Brazil expanding their participation, notably in the meat category.)

Show attendees will find many additions to the event since SIAL 2004. These include a newly renovated Trends and Innovations Area, a special hub that offers visitors an overview of the newest food products from around the globe.
