Shareholders of Host America Corp. have approved the sale of the company’s foodservice operations in order to concentrate on the energy conservation management business. The announcement follows the settlement of a class action lawsuit stemming from a 2005 stock manipulation incident for which the company agreed to pay $2.4 million. Host America, which will changes its name to EnerLume Energy Management Corp., received $3.7 million for the two divested units: Host America Corporate Dining, a cafe management operation, and Lindley Food Service, which manufactures meals for meals-on-wheels and school dining programs. They will be operated separately.
