King & Prince/Mrs. Fridays Breaded Shrimp with Sweet Texas Dipping Sauce

Sauce yield: 10-12 (2-oz.) servings

2 Tbsps. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1⁄4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsps. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
6 Tbsps. lime juice
6 Tbsps. Worcestershire sauce
1 1⁄2 cups catsup
1 cup apricot preserves
1⁄2 tsp. red pepper flakes
6-8 King & Prince Breaded Shrimp

  1. For the sauce: Combine the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Can be served hot or chilled.

  2. Serving suggestion: Serve Mrs. Friday's Shrimp with a 2 oz. serving of this Sweet Texas Dipping Sauce. Add a serving of Texas caviar salad (marinated black eyed peas and corn salad) for a complete dinner plate.
