This year we’ve really changed our focus to be on customer service. So we implemented some aspects of the FISH! Philosophy, based on Pike Place Fish Market’s model of customer service, into our training. It’s the idea that employees enjoy their job, and that translates into how they interact with their customers. We did a fish-themed in-service, and if an employee does something really good as far as customer service, we take a picture of them with a fish hat. Employees who really are being consistent with good customer service get a fishhook pin recognizing their effort.
