Foutty Honored by Premier

The Premier Inc. healthcare alliance has namedTodd Foutty, director of foodservice operations for the MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH, as winner of the 2006 Premier Illuminating Excellence Award for exceptional leadership in the healthcare foodservice field. In making the announcement, Premier noted Foutty's accomplishments, which include consolidation of foodservice production into one facility that produces 2,100 patient meals in 8 hours and results in a $2 million savings; running a once-subsidized employee cafeteria profitably for the past four years; generating $2.5 million in cafeteria sales in 2006, an 86 percent increase since 2000; and partnering with Premier's contracted suppliers to offer wider choices in MetroHealth's Atrium Grill.
