Due to our strong focus on wellness and sustainability, three years ago Luther College began providing Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) reimbursements to faculty and staff. Employees can receive 50% off the cost of a CSA share up to $100 when they sign up and participate in two food education events during the year, such as cooking and gardening classes or tours and workdays on the CSA farms. This year, about 25% of employees are participating. It’s a low-cost, feel-good program for the college, it gets employees eating more fruits and vegetables and it only costs $100 a person.
