Milestones: Jim Webb, 1954-2012

Jim Webb, founder of foodservice design firm Webb Design, passed away recently.

Webb started the firm in 1989 and was known as one of the premier contemporary space designers in the hospitality field. His legacy includes a sustained ability for delivering visionary design and outstanding project management, reflected by the regular recognition the firm receives from its peers in the form of local, regional and national design awards.

“Jim Webb was a remarkable man and an extraordinary leader, who guided our firm’s impressive success for more than two decades,” says Webb Design Managing Principal Gina Brinegar. “He leaves an indelible legacy and will be missed by the entire Webb Design family.”

Among Webb's legacies is his passion for innovative environmental design. Today, the firm he founded is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and boasts many staff members that have achieved LEED accreditation.
