A basic vinaigrette made better by the addition of pecans and basil. It works nicely with tomatoes and greens.

Ingredients

1⁄2 cup chopped fresh basil
1⁄4 cup lemon juice
1⁄4 cup olive oil
1⁄4 cup vegetable oil
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1⁄3 cup chopped Georgia pecans
 

Steps

1. In a mixing bowl, combine basil and lemon juice. Whisk in oils and season with salt and pepper to taste.

2. Prior to serving, fold in pecans.

3. Serve over sliced tomatoes or salad greens.
