This spiced up take on sweet potatoes is a great alternative to traditional potato side dishes.

Ingredients

1-1/8 lb. fresh sweet potato (yam)
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1-3/4 tsp. fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp. ground cumin

Steps

  1. Place potatoes in perforated pans. Steam for 15 minutes or until tender. Minimum internal temperature should be 140°F or higher.

  2. Place all ingredients in mixer bowl. Using paddle attachment, mix potatoes for 1 minute on speed 1 or until well incorporated, and slightly chunky. Hold hot (140°F or higher) for service.

Additional Tips

Shelf life: If left over, do not reuse
