This Korean style skirt steak is spicy and tender. Sliced on the bias after grilling, rice and kimchee round out the meal.

Ingredients

Marinade:
4 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 cup scallions, minced
2 tbsp. garlic, minced
1 1⁄2 tbsp. gingerroot, minced
1 tsp. pepper
1⁄2 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp. white wine
2 tbsp. sesame oil

2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 skirt steak (about 2 1⁄2 lb.) cut into strips, on the bias
White rice, as needed
Kimchee, as needed
 

Steps

1. In a large pan, toast sesame seeds until golden. Grind 2 tbsp. seeds in a spice grinder and combine with remaining marinade ingredients.

2. Pour mixture over steak and marinate for at least 1 hr.

3. Rub a grill pan with oil and grill meat until brown, about 1-2 min. Sprinkle meat with remaining sesame seeds and scallions if desired. Serve with rice and kimchee.
