These mushrooms make for a savory side with sherry, salted butter and chopped parsley.

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. makes the most of fresh mushrooms in this savory side dish. It's quick and easy to prepare and works equally well with a simple meal or festive dinner. 

Ingredients

½ cup sherry cooking wine
¾ cup salted butter
3 tbsp. Monarch Mushroom Rub
2 lb. button mushrooms
¼ cup chopped parsley

Steps

1. Cook sherry and butter on medium heat until simmering.

2. While sherry and butter are coking, rinse button mushrooms and drain in colander.

3. When mushrooms are clean, place in pan with sherry and butter.

4. Add vegetable rub seasoning. Cook mushrooms until tender, about eight to nine minutes.

5. Just before mushrooms are finished, add parsley and cook until wilted.
