This is quick and easy to prepare, just be sure to allow time for the salad to chill. This allows the flavors to combine and mellow.

Ingredients

Dressing:
1⁄3 cup cider vinegar
1⁄3 cup vegetable oil
1⁄3 cup sugar
1 tsp. celery seed

2 cups sliced green cabbage
1 cup sliced red cabbage
1 cup California walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 cup dried cranberries
1⁄4 cup thinly sliced red onion
 

Steps

1. Mix the dressing ingredients together in small bowl.

2. Toss cabbages and remaining ingredients with dressing in large bowl. Cover and refrigerate about 3 hr.

3. Stir and drain off all liquid before serving.
