Choose from two different dip varieties: Cajun Spiced or Roasted Garlic. Use as a topping for entrees or salads, or serve as a dip with fried vegetables, chicken wings or other crudite.

Ingredients

For a Cajun Spiced Dip:
6 California avocados
1⁄3 cup lemon juice
1⁄3 cup finely chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped garlic
1 1⁄2 tsp. dried thyme
1 1⁄2 tsp. salt
1⁄2 tsp. ground black pepper
1⁄4 tsp. white pepper
1⁄4 tsp. cayenne pepper (or to taste)

For a Roasted Garlic Dip:
6 California avocados
1⁄3 cup lemon juice
4 heads roasted garlic
1⁄4 cup chopped parsley
1⁄2 tbsp. dried oregano
1⁄2 tbsp. salt
1⁄2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Steps

For each California Avocado Dip recipe, roughly mash avocado, then fold in remaining ingredients. Chill 1 hr. and serve with fried vegetables, chicken wings, or use as topping for cooked meat, poultry, fish or eggs.
