An easy salad to put together, this recipe makes use of packaged broccoli-slaw mix. A creamy dressing pulls it together. A crunchy and refreshing salad.

Ingredients

10 slices bacon
3 lb. prepared broccoli-slaw mix
1 cup chopped red onion
2⁄3 cup raisins
1 cup mayonnaise or plain yogurt
1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 cup sunflower seeds
 

Steps

  1. Cook bacon until crisp; drain, crumble, and set aside.

  2. Combine broccoli slaw mix, chopped red onion, and raisins in a bowl.

  3. Whisk together mayonnaise or yogurt, red wine vinegar, and sugar; pour over broccoli slaw and toss well to combine. Refrigerate at least two hours, or overnight. Garnish with crumbled bacon and sunflower seeds.
