Serve your dessert with less guilt by offering these delicious apple sauce brownies. Rich chocolate folded with creamy apple sauce creates a moist, chewy brownie your patrons are sure to love.

Ingredients

32 oz. dry brownie mix
3 cups (about 24 oz.) MUSSELMAN'S® Apple Sauce
1 large egg with 1 large egg yolk
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, toasted

Steps

  1. In large bowl combine brownie mix, Musselman’s® Apple Sauce, eggs and pecans; mix just to combine (batter will be lumpy).

  2. Spread batter evenly in a greased shallow, full-size steam table pan. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until mixture is firm to touch but still slightly sticky.

  3. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature before cutting into 24 brownie bars.
