Wilkes University Dining Services has been featuring various vegetables, herbs and flowers in their dishes that have been grown on campus in the newly renovated greenhouse, reports the Wilkes Beacon campus paper. The source of the bounty is a greenhouse located next the school library in which Dining Services began to grow produce this summer that the various dining locations on campus use in the meals they prepare. Some also is used in catering. The harvest for this year consists of several varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, peppers, lettuces and herbs along with a variety of flowers grown.
