What college students want to eat

A review of what students typically order online shows the old favorites still holding strong.

The rising demand for healthful selections hasn’t dethroned pizza as the food ordered most often by college and university students, according to a new study.

Rounding out the top four choices are calzones, chicken wings and subs, the online ordering app EatStreet discovered in analyzing students’ ordering patterns.

The data revealed some surprises, according to the app’s provider: College-age youngsters prefer to dip chicken wings in ranch dressing by almost a 3:1 margin, as compared to the next-most favored sauce. It also found that corn tortillas are ordered more often than the flour variety.
