University of Rhode Island Dining Services recently launched a mobile application featuring full menus, dining hall cams, a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) shuttle tracker and the ability to add to student RAM Accounts, reports the Good 5-cent Cigar campus paper. The cameras show how long the line is outside the dining hall and the crowd inside, while the RIPTA shuttle GPS allows students to use their current location to see where the closest shuttle is located and in what direction it is heading.

So far, there have been some 1,800 downloads of the app and around 1,000 launches per day. The app can be downloaded on the iTunes store, as well as on Google Play for Androids under URI Dining Services.
