Oct. 14—Stanley Redeker arrived on the University of Northern Iowa campus Wednesday to help christen his namesake building in a special ceremony celebrating the expansion of the student dining hall.

The 87-year-old former Iowa Regent and Boone businessman said the facility has totally changed since it was built in 1963 and rededicated for Redeker in 1974.

"I think (students) are very fortunate to have something like this at their disposal," he said. "I'm really honored they would name it for me. You know if you get something named for you before you die, that's really something."
