The University of Louisville in Kentucky has developed the UofL Smart Plate to guide students in choosing healthier foods and portion sizes, the Courier-Journal reports.

The initiative—an illustrated plate that shows what a healthy lunch or dinner should look like—encourages students to make sure 80 percent of foods they eat are nutrient-dense, allowing for treats such as pizza and fruit juice, according to the Journal. Students also can get help from human “Nutrition Navigators” to learn how to use the guide during meals.

“We can actually go around with students in a campus eatery and show them that it is possible to create the Smart Plate, and here’s how you can do it,'” Cristi Smith, a nutrition navigator, told the website.
