University Chef Brings Home the Gold

An Oakland University chef won the gold medal at the International Culinary Art Exhibition in Germany.

John Miller, executive chef for Chartwells at Oakland University received an individual gold medal and was part of the Michigan team that won more medals than any other U.S. state in the 23rd International Culinary Art Exhibition in Germany this past fall, reports the Rochester (MI) Patch. The competition featured more than 1,600 chefs from more than 50 countries. The Olympics-style event was attended by more than 25,000 people.
