The University of Connecticut Department Dining Services has debuted a raw food line called Sain at two campus locations. Sain, located in the Bookworm’s Café and Wilbur’s Café exclusively, offers four new healthy food options: vegetarian treats Cranberry Nut Compote Wrap and Cashew Cheese Ravioli, and vegan choices Caribbean Pasta Salad and Cucumber Flying Discs. Each item is offered every Monday through Friday and made fresh every day.

With an increasing awareness of eating healthier foods, students at UConn are excited about the new options, UConn Dining says. “I love that the university provides such healthy options for the students,” notes one student. “I know there are already so many healthy options here at UConn. I am just excited to know that with new options like SAIN, we are continuing to grow and expand in choices.”
