The Renovated Kimball Dining Hall at Holy Cross
A major renovation, the first in more than 20 years, has completely transformed the only all-you-care-to-eat dining hall on the campus of the College of the Holy Cross. Combined with a new unlimited meal plan for the school’s 2,400 resident students, the overhaul boosted traffic at Kimball Dining Hall by around 30 percent in the fall 2014 semester.
Holy Cross renovated Kimball last summer between semesters. Along with a new rustic industrial theme for the decor, the makeover added new serving stations and a new open kitchen approach that emphasizes production in front of customers and customized meal choices.
“Our staff was especially pleased to get out from in back to where they can interact with students,” says Linda Nardella, director of dining.
