Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless will open an as-yet-unnamed cafe at the University of Pennsylvania's upcoming ARCH building, which is currently undergoing a $20 million renovation, reports the student paper the Daily Pennsylvanian. Bayless told the paper that he has been exploring the idea of working at college campuses because the college years are “formative” and he wanted the chance to “educate students’ palettes.”

Bayless is known for his work with Mexican cuisine and has hosted several cooking shows, including Mexico: One Plate at a Time on PBS, now entering its ninth season.

The Penn cafe, Bayless' first concept on the East Coast, will specialize in tortas as its main dish but will also offer full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
