Capital University in Bexley, Ohio, will change foodservice vendors this summer, switching from Aramark Campus Services to a yet-to-be-determined company, reports Columbus Business First.

As a result of the change, 75 bakers, cashiers and other workers under contract with Aramark will be laid off. Aramark has managed foodservice at Capital since 2015, when it replaced Parkhurst Dining as the campus dining vendor.

"When we select a new vendor, we consider high-quality varieties of fresh, healthy ingredients, demonstrated success in meeting the needs of a diverse university, perfect track record of customer service, a record of exceptional safety and a company that operates in a manner consistent with Capital values," a campus spokeswoman told Columbus Business First.

The campus at large, including students and faculty, is being asked to weigh in on who the next vendor should be.
