Harvard University Dining Services (HUDS) will assume management of the foodservice operations at the Harvard Kennedy School beginning July 8 after being chosen following a competitive bidding process for the business. The Harvard Kennedy School serves the student and staff community through a café that operates weekdays from 8 am until 4 pm. Catered events range from student meetings to VIP events for the numerous world leaders who visit campus.

“HUDS’ commitment to great food, extraordinary customer service, sustainability, and education about food and food issues makes us the right partner for the Kennedy School,” notes HUDS Managing Director David Davidson. “We are Harvard employees, which makes our commitment to serving the Harvard community even more focused. We love to share our passion for food and service. It’s an honor and a thrill that we get to do so as part of this extraordinary school and program.”

Regarding itself as the country’s oldest collegiate foodservice operation, HUDS currently operates 13 residential dining halls, 14 campus retail cafes, a kosher kitchen, a campus debit card program, and complete catering services.  It serves approximately 5 million meals a year.
