Frank Gladu to Head Dining at University of the South

Frank Gladu is leaving Vanderbilt University after nearly 25 years to take the position of associate vice president for administration at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, starting on March 26th. He will be responsible for heading several auxiliary services and overseeing the dining department's conversion to self-operation beginning this fall.

Gladu took over as director of dining services at Vanderbilt in 1987 after stops at Rutgers University, the University of Pennsylvania and Bryn Mawr College. At Vanderbilt, Gladu's accomplishments include introducing the school's first board plan and upgrading the dining program to reflect a more commercial and culinarily sophisticated approach that promoted community on the Nashville campus. He won a Silver Plate award in 1999 for his accomplishments and was named assistant vice chancellor of business services in 2005.
