Brown University's Food Recovery Network picks up about 200 lbs. of leftover food from the chool's dining services each week and delivers it to local homeless shelters, reports the Brown Daily Herald. Brown's chapter of the Food Recovery Network is one of four operating on college campuses. Others include Pomona College, the University of California-Berkeley and the University of Maryland, where the initiative was first founded.
