Edgewood College Eatery Certified Green

Phil's at Edgewood College in Madison, WI, has achieved designation as a Certified Green Restaurant by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), reports WKOW TV. GRA, a Boston-based national trade association, certifies restaurants based on a list of certification standards ranging from water efficiency and waste reduction/recycling to serving sustainable food. Phil’s becomes the ninth GRA Certified Green Restaurant on a college campus and the second in the Midwest (the other one is at Kendall College in Chicago). Other schools hosting Certified Green Restaurants include Bates College, Northeastern University and the Harvard School of Public Health.
