College rolls out dining discount to spur meal plan participation

University of Pennsylvania students can save on meal purchases when using dining dollars.

Students on dining plans at the University of Pennsylvania can now save 5% on meal purchases when using dining dollars at select locations around campus, The Daily Pennsylvanian reports.

The deal aims to encourage students at the Philadelphia school to buy a meal plan as opposed to using cash, credit or bursar accounts to purchase meals.

The university says that this new policy, along with other recent changes to its dining system such as extending dining hall hours, were all enacted in response to student feedback.
