College Dining Figures on the Move
Gladu, Wulforst, Coffey take new roles.

A number of prominent college dining figures are on the move.
After nearly 25 years at Vanderbilt University, Frank Gladu is leaving to become associate vice president for administration at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN,
Longtime Duke University Dining Director Jim Wulforst has joined Global Business Services at Coca-Cola World Headquarters as the manager of food and beverage operations and
Robert Coffey is coming to Duke as its new director of dining services after a year as resident district manager for management company Sodexo at the University of South Carolina.
Gladu took over as director of dining services at Vanderbilt in 1987 after stops at Rutgers University, the University of Pennsylvania and Bryn Mawr College. He was named assistant vice chancellor of business services in 2005.
Wulforst had served as 2
director of dining services at Duke from 1996 until last fall, when he was named special assistant to Duke Vice President of Student Affairs Larry Moneta. Before Duke, Wulforst spent eight years at Time Warner as director of conference and restaurant services.
At South Carolina, Coffey managed a $30 million operating budget and a team of 1,100 employees that served more than six million meals a year. Previously, he served as senior associate director of housing and dining at Virginia Tech, and has also served in various capacities at Greensboro College, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Longwood College in Virginia.
