Cal Dining Wins Sustainability Award

Cal Dining at the University of California-Berkeley won three Higher Education 2013 Best Practice awards at the recent California Higher Education Sustainability Conference, which brought together California education leaders to explore sustainability advancements. One of the awards, for sustainable foodservice, was based on Cal Dining's food waste reduction efforts using the LeanPath program since August 2011, which has reduced pre-consumer food waste by over a third.
