Burgers are 100% local beef at Luther College

Last year 20% of food purchases at Luther were from local sources.

April 17—Dining services at Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa, has strengthened its commitment to sustainable food and local producers by serving burgers made with 100% local beef.

The beef comes from Grass Run Farms. a locally owned business that works with farmers in the region to raise antibiotic-free, pasture-based beef.

The beef patties represent only part of Luther's local purchasing efforts. Last year 20% of food served was sourced from local producers.
