Several Boston University student groups convened to host an African Diaspora Cultural Night in the school’s Warren Towers Dining Hall this week.

The event served up traditional African dishes and provided students with information about African culture, according to student newspaper The Daily Free Press.

Dishes that were offered included fried plantains, curried chickpeas, collard greens and zobo, a drink made from hibiscus leaves. Students could read about the history of those menu items on displays near the serving stations.
