Sustainability is a focus of Carolina Dining, which encourages recycling, features local produce in its operations when in season and participates in the Healthy Carolina’s Farmers Market with unique dishes using local produce.

Notable campus dining venues include the Market 101 healthy c-store, specialty salad bar and outdoor grill featuring the popular Carolina Bird Dog (a fried chicken tender on a hot dog bun with toppings like cheese and bacon) and Global Café in the new Moore School of Business, a destination dining spot featuring international cuisines from visiting Sodexo chefs from across the globe.

Carolina Dining also incorporates Sodexo’s FM Best Concept winning Mindful health and wellness program in its residential dining and retail locations and participates in Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Food Drive by selling $1 donation cards, Stop Hunger T-shirts and hosting a Stop Hunger pep rally.
