This past year, Gator Dining added some national brand locations to the meal plan program, including Moe’s Southwest Grill, Subway, Pollo Tropical and Papa John’s along with three proprietary locations and two just-renovated AYCTE dining halls. The major remodels added lounge-style seating, DirecTV programming, new stations and paint refreshes. Also, 250 new seats brought the total to 600 at the Fresh Food Company location.

A third Chick-fil-A was added last January and Wendy’s debuted in June. A fifth Starbucks is slated for early spring 2015.

In October 2013, Gator Dining won the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s (AAHSE) Campus Sustainability Case Study Award for Foam-Free dining on campus, and this past April, UF awarded Gator Dining Services with its 2014 Champions for Change Award to recognize its Healthy for Life nutritional program. Also, peta2.com named Gator Dining the 2014 Most Vegan-Friendly Large College in the U.S.
