In an effort to reduce wait times and offer a wider variety of food, Glendale Community College has debuted a grab-and-go station in its Palms Café.

Officials also hope the station will give customers a better customer service experience and will serve a different item every day of the week, including milkshakes, smoothies, pretzels and a self-service salad bar soon, reports the college’s student newspaper, The Voice.

“We strongly feel that having more options available to our students and staff will help them not get burned out on the same old thing,” Anthony Lazenby, manager of the Green Bean, Palms Café/Cafeteria and caterings at GCC, told the website.
