2015 Loyal E. Horton Dining Award winners

Each year, NACUFS recognizes some of the brightest achievements of the college dining community with its Loyal E. Horton Awards. The winners are celebrated each year at the group’s national conference, which this year will be held in Indianapolis July 22-25. That is also where the Grand Prize winners are announced.

The competition is divided into six categories: Residential Dining Concepts, Residential Dining-Special Event, Retail Sales-Single Concept, Retail Sales-Multiple Concepts/Marketplace, Catering-Special Event and Catering Online Menu. Each category is then subdivided by institution size into Small, Medium and Large School components with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in each (plus Honorable Mention).

Sometimes, multiple awards are given in the same category/subcategory, while no awards are given in others.

This year, 47 awards were given, plus 10 Honorable Mentions, with some schools earning multiple awards. What follows is a photo gallery of some of those winners. For a full list of winners, go to the NACUFS website.
