Hours of operation for four cafes at the University of Connecticut have been adjusted due to financial reasons, reports The Daily Campus.
Dennis Pierce—executive director of dining services at the Storrs, Conn., university—told the student newspaper that the hours were changed after a financial review was completed.
UConn’s decision came one day after Governor Dannel Malloy approved a $5 million cut in funding to the university, says the website, adding that a connection between the two had not been confirmed.
The new hours of operation took effect Monday.
