Empire State Plaza to add Honest Weight Cafe in January

Dec. 17—Albany’s Honest Weight Food Co-Op will open a café in the Empire State Plaza’s main concourse cafeteria on Jan. 2, according to the state Office of General Services.

The deal with OGS lasts only five months, which means that Honest Weight, like the other new local vendors who stepped in when Sodexo departed in November, will be up for either extension or exit in the spring. OGS still hasn’t announced its plans for the Capitol Deli on the ground floor of the Capitol itself.
