Levy Restaurants is taking over concession operations at Chicago's Wrigley Field, the ivy-festooned "friendly confines" that are home to Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs. Wrigley Field will be Levy's sixth major league ballpark operation, joining a client list that also includes Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and PNC Park in Pittsburgh. New items will be sold through re-designed concession stands and new specialty-food carts such as Italian Hot Spot and Let's Play Two Grill that will augment the ballpark's 23 concession stands.
"The fact that they are local and understand Wrigley and Cub fans, we felt, gave us a real opportunity to improve the offerings," Mark McGuire, Cubs executive vice president of business operations, told the Chicago Tribune.
