For the first time, the annual Food Management IDEAS Conference this year merged with the MUFSO (Multi-Unit Food Service Operators) Conference held annually by sister publication Nation’s Restaurant News. The result was a highly informative and collaborative event in Dallas that brought together FM’s audience of onsite foodservic eoperators with peers from the chain restaurant industry as well as independent restaurateurs and chefs who are the core audience of Restaurant Hospitality magazine, also an FM sister publication.

Food Management hosted a series of sessions that formed one of the five tracks of the joint Supershow,  allowing attendees to choose from a variety of topic areas. The others were the Operations, Culinary, Marketing and Entrepreneur tracks.

The event also celebrated operators and operations recognized by the host publications with their Best Concepts (FM) and Golden Chain, Pioneer and Norman (NRN) Awards. The major winners, including FM Best Concepts Best of Show winner Stanford University, were recognized at a gala evening reception on the show’s second night. The other Best Concept winners were also feted at a special reception on the first night.
