Hacienda La Puente Unified School District has piloted a customizable meal cart to give students more control over what goes into their meal.
Chef demos, farmer visits and more have become commonplace at the district this school year thanks to Director of Food Service Christina Lawson, who focused on growing the district's farm-to-school efforts as part of her capstone for the Chef Ann Foundation’s Healthy School Food Pathway Fellowship program.
